The femtosecond lasers are ideal for medical, industrial, scientific, and numerous other micromachining applications. These ultrafast lasers are ideal for cold ablation of any material: metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, coatings, glass, plastics, diamonds, PET, and any other material, or even layered substrates. Cold ablation allows for material to be removed without heating the residual material. Thus, you will not have heat affected zone, splatter, nor will you have significant recast. You also should not have post processing! Ultrafast lasers have pulses so short that they are effective on any material!
